Busy Farmington Street Reopens After Fire: UPDATE
A structure fire had prompted the closure of a busy Farmington roadway Thursday morning.
FARMINGTON, CT — Local responders Thursday morning were on the scene of a structure fire that had closed a busy street, but is now reopened.
According to the Farmington Police Department, Route 177 (Plainville Avenue) was closed to traffic between Webster Street and New Britain Avenue. The FPD issued the alert at 6:15 a.m.
Police said this was so firefighters could battle a structure fire.

The FPD had asked motorists to avoid the area until further notice and use alternate routes.
By 7:27 a.m. Thursday, police reported the roadway had reopened to traffic.
