Fore Autism Charity Golf Tournament Raises Over $17,000
Proceeds Go To FOCUS special education program, The Fresh Start School

FORE AUTISM
FOCUS Center for Autism in Canton held its inaugural charity golf tournament, Fore Autism on August 23 at Fairview Farm in Harwinton. All proceeds from the tournament will go to supporting the FOCUS special education program, The Fresh Start School. Fore Autism was inspired by Fresh Start student Jack Tanner who has made immense progress in the school since starting in January 2018. An avid golfer himself, he and his family approached FOCUS with the idea, and helped to form this charity tournament. They were also among the many golfers who participated in the tournament and subsequent dinner celebration.
The weather was beautiful and a group of dedicated volunteers, staff, donors, and dinner guests helped make the day a success!. The night ended with a standing ovation for the mission of FOCUS: “helping children and young adults with autism spectrum disorder achieve their full potential.”
