FOX 61 Hosts Phone Bank to Benefit Hartford's Camp Courant

Inaugural Fundraiser Part of FOX 61's HOPE (Helping Organizations Promote Education) Initiative

The first annual ‘Send a Kid to Camp’ Phone Bank will be held on Wednesday, June 15th, at the FOX 61 studios in Hartford. The Phone Bank will air from 9:00-10:00 AM, and then resume from 4:00-7:00 PM. All monies raised will help Hartford’s Camp Courant and FOX 61 further their missions to support education-based programs for children throughout the greater Hartford community.

More than two dozen sponsors have committed to supporting the Phone Bank, including Bank of America, BlumShapiro, Bob’s Discount Furniture, ConnectiCare, Day Pitney LLP, FOX 61, current and former chairs of the Farmington Town Council, Goodwin College, Harte Auto Group, Harvard Pilgrim Healthcare, Hinckley Allen, Kaman Corporation, KBE Building Corporation, Masonicare, Metro Hartford Alliance HYPE, MassMutual, Prudential Retirement, Rosenberg Orthodontics, Sullivan & LeShane, Virtus Investment Partners, and Voya Financial.

FOX 61 has a long-standing, aligned and focused partnership with Hartford’s Camp Courant. Everything FOX 61 does in the community links directly to their mission of HOPE (Helping Organizations Promote Education), where they will focus their resources to maximize impact. Jon Hitchcock, VP and General Manager of FOX 61 and WCCT said, “Camp Courant is at the very heart of our HOPE mission. Helping build a bridge with local companies and nonprofit organizations that foster educational programs. Our partnership and mission is all about helping to inform, educate and inspire our community.”

Thanks in part to the support of FOX 61 and almost 30 sponsors; Hartford’s kids will have an amazing experience this summer.”
