Friends of the Farmington Libraries Fall Book Sale and Bake Sale

Book sale to be held November 16 & 17

The Friends of the Farmington Libraries are excited to announce their upcoming Fall Book Sale to be held at the Farmington Main Library, 6 Monteith Drive. It will be a two day event and will include “nearly new” adult and children’s books.

The sale will begin Friday, November 16, with an exclusive preview from 9:15 to 10 am. There will be a $10 admission charge during the preview. There will be no charge on Friday from 10 am to 5 pm and Saturday, November 17, from 9 am-3 pm.

This sale features an amazing collection of like-new books suitable for holiday gift-giving or for one’s personal library. Included will be books on history, politics, science and nature, sports, and art; also, contemporary and classic fiction, biographies, gourmet cookbooks, holiday books, books in Spanish, CDs, DVDs and puzzles. There will be thousands of children’s books for all ages, infant to teen, fiction and non-fiction.

Plan to stock up with great “winter reads” and holiday gifts. The Friends especially welcome teachers who wish to re-supply their classroom libraries. Teachers with school IDs will receive a 20% discount.

The Friends will host a bake sale in the lobby of the main library on Saturday during the book sale. There will be lots of home-baked goodies suitable for freezing for the upcoming holidays.
