Golf Channel to Air Local Golfers from Team Connecticut at the PGAJL National Championship

The Suzy Whaley Golf PGA Junior League All Star team representing the Northeast Region as Team Connecticut placed 5th in the National Championship at Grayhawk Golf Club in Scottsdale, Arizona.

Team Connecticut was represented by Irving A Robbin's 8th graders Cullen Laberge, John Guerrera and their teammates as they competed in matches against Illinois, New Jersey, California and Texas. John, Cullen and the Connecticut team posted a record of 2-1-1 in Scottsdale on their way to finishing in 5th overall place in the national standings for 2016.

The Team, coached by Captain Suzy Whaley and Coach Jim Bunel, was one of 8 teams to qualify for the National Championship every year out of more than 2,700 teams nationally and only 80 junior golfers qualify out of more than 38,000 nationally.

Golf Channel will air a prime time special on November 29th at 8:00pm EST of the 2016 PGA Junior League National Championship. Congratulations Team Connecticut!
