Halloween Against Hunger 2014 at First Church 1652: Prepare for a Scare and Donate Items for the Farmington Food Pantry!
This year's theme is Slightly Creepy Characters of the Bible. Free hot dog for the first 100 people with a food pantry donation!

On Halloween night the youth of The First Church of Christ, Congregational, 1652 in Farmington will play host to ghouls and ghosts in the annual Halloween Against Hunger, which collects donations for the Farmington Food Pantry. This year’s theme is Slightly Creepy Characters of the Bible.
Halloween Against Hunger (HAHA) is a family-friendly trick-or-treating event that gives back. At its core, HAH is a food drive. Participation in the Halloween night activities supports the community service-focused youth program at First Church. In the coming year, children in Pilgrim Fellowship (high school) and Junior Pilgrim Fellowship (middle school) are committed to five service projects, including the upcoming Tent City on November 15-16, and a mission trip open to all high school students in town.
On Halloween, spirits, ghosts, and witches will appear on the front lawn of the Meetinghouse starting at 5:00 pm. The first one hundred visitors who bring a donation for the food pantry will receive a free hot dog. Youth Director William Vibert says the food pantry is in need of healthy snack food (granola bars, trail mix, etc.) and household products like wipes and paper towels. For a detailed list of needed donations, contact the Farmington Food Pantry at 860-674-8694. More information on HAH, including how you can participate, can be found on the organization’s website www.halloweenagainsthunger.org.
