Faith in Culture: Ethics continues on Sunday, March 30th at St. James Parish, when we welcome The Rev. Dr. Nihal de Lanerolle to present and lead us in discussion entitled “Morality, Christian ethics and the Brain”. about the intersections of faith and science as it applies to brain function and processes.
The Rev. de Lanerolle is the Missional Priest at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Westbrook, Connecticut and recently stepped down from the position of Chaplain at the Episcopal Church at Yale after 10 years of ministry. He is also a scientist and holds the rank of Professor of Neurosurgery and Neurobiology. He has a long time interest in the interaction between science and religion, and occasionally teaches courses in this area at Yale Divinity School.
We begin at 6:30 with a time of fellowship and refreshments, St. James' parish hall, 3 Mountain Road, Farmington. The formal presentation and discussion begins at 7pm. Please join us, bring a friend, all are welcome!
