John Forbes Kerry, the Arthur Neville Chamberlain of our time!
If you are one of the three people who regularly read this blog [thank you by the way and Happy Thanksgiving] you know I have a long standing issues with the way that Progressive Collectivist dominated public sector teachers unions, the PC state board of education, and local school boards substitute indoctrination for education; especially when it comes to the history of These United States. You will also recall that I am a big fan of the American Philosopher George Santayana’s well known declaration in Reason in Common Sense that "Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat .... " and in Soliloquies in England “only the dead have seen the end of war.”
My paternal grand parents got off the boat from Gdansk in NYC and made it as far a Chelsea, MA. By the time I was old enough to know better, the Mystic River Bridge which had been built for the common good of the rich white suburbs north of Boston had destroyed their adopted city. There were a few “old” families hanging on and one of our neighbors was a survivor of an all expense paid stay at a National Socialist German Workers' Party concentration camp [oops should have said NSDAP - nope got nothing yet - then I should have referred to it as it was commonly known in English The Nazi Party - Progressive Collectivists hate it when you point out that Nazis were Socialists]. When the subject turned to the War years he almost never talked about his experiences in the Camps but he would rail against Chamberlain with little or no prompting. He would call him APPEASER as if that was the most hateful and well earned curse that any man could call another.
It wasn’t until I was older and began to study the “war” years on my own that I came to understand our neighbor’s hate and loathing for the “Appeaser”. Before I started my self education, my public school teachers had focused on “Peace in Our Time” and a good man who tried to keep the peace rather than the gutless politician who was willing to give a bully whatever he wanted just so long as he left the UK alone!
Fast forward to today and Secretary of State Kerry at the command of BHO makes it American policy to channel Chamberlain and APPEASE the Islamic Republic of Iran! If you require an explanation of why the Geneva Agreement is Appeasement then you are a hard core Progressive Collectivist and nothing I write here is going to convince you that your secular hero has feet of clay so I will not even make the effort. What is clear is that the ruling mullahs mostly adherents of Imami Shīa Islam in Iran have been calling for the destruction of the Great Satan [America] and Little Satan [Israel] since they came to power in 1979. Even a Ron Paul isolationist must agree that economic sanctions are a better instrument of American foreign policy than an old BGM -109G Gryphon Ground Launched Cruise Missiles with a W84 warhead, B52H bombers loaded with AGM-129s / AGM-86As or boots on the ground.
But BHO needs a distraction and his political base will not stand for another war even if it is only a “wag the dog”. So let us set up Israel and Saudi Arabia [and the rest of Sunni Islam] to have it out with Shia Iran, a few bombs maybe even a nuke should get everyone’s attention off the implementation of National Socialist Health Care [no death panels or rationing here - only social justice, income redistribution, and free birth control].
I generally don’t make predictions but if the Congress does not stop BHO from removing the sanctions against The Islamic Republic of Iran my grandchildren will look back on the Kerry-Obama Agreements and ask “did we not learn anything from Chamberlain in Munich”? Just because BHO can say he has “peace with honour” and “I believe it is peace for our time” doesn’t make it so [was that BHO or Chamberlain I get confused]! In fact I think I can hear Hassan Rouhani quoting the Führer and saying "Oh, don't take it so seriously. That piece of paper is of no further significance whatever." Please excuse the mixing of wars but Colonel McCrae said it more eloquently than I ever could “... If ye break faith with us who die We shall not sleep, though poppies grow In Flanders fields.” Shame on BHO and JFK [Kerry not Kennedy] and shame on Congress if they support this APPEASEMENT!
