Join us for a Journey of the Universe! On Sunday, May 11th at 6:30 p.m., St. James Parish, 3 Mountain Road, Farmington, we will gather in our parish hall for a long overdue viewing of the wonderful documentary, Journey of the Universe. Doctoral Candidate at Drew University Matthew T. Riley will be with us to lead a discussion on the film afterwards. Matt is engaged as a Research Associate at Yale’s Forum on Religion and Ecology. He currently serves as a Steering Committee Member for the Religion and Ecology Group at the American Academy of Religion. Matt designed the curricular materials for the Journey of the Universe project. He received a M.A.R. in religious ethics from Yale Divinity School, a M.S. in secondary science education from Pace University, and an M.Phil. in the sociology of religion from Drew University. The two theologians who most influenced Journey of the Universe: Thomas Berry and Pierre Teilhard de Chardin. All are invited!!
