The town of Farmington is a beautiful place to raise a family and excellent place to be educated. It is why after having grown up here and attending its schools, I returned to raise my own family. I have four kids currently at three different Farmington schools. My youngest daughter attends 2nd grade at West District, my older daughter attends West Woods Upper Elementary, and my boys are in 7th and 8th grade at Irving A. Robbins.

Farmington’s greatest assets are our teachers and our schools. As we try and make sense of life and politics on a national level, one thing that we can all agree on is our need to maintain excellence in our schools. That is why endorsing Liz Fitzsimmons is so easy for me. I’ve known Liz for the past 7 years. She is someone I wholeheartedly trust to do what’s right for our schools, our teachers and our students.

Her work on the Board has been an extension of her active involvement in the community, including a four-year run as President of the nonpartisan Farmington Future, an organization dedicated to community education about and involvement in town business. She also worked with the West District School PTO for many years, including a six-year run as its liaison to the Board of Education.

Liz’s experience and commitment have served her well in her first term on the Board of Education, and with another term she will continue to help maintain and enhance one of our great public resources. I’m pleased to endorse Liz Fitzsimmons for Board of Education, and ask that you support her and her fellow Democrats on Row A with your vote on Election Day, Tuesday November 5.
