LETTER: Brenneman Says Giannaros, Boye-Williams Right Choices
Opinions expressed are those of the letter writer and do not necessarily reflect the views of Patch Media. Opposing viewpoints are welcomed.

I am sure you have noticed all the signs along our streets in town. Those signs are there to remind you that Nov 5 is Election Day. I am asking all our registered voters to participate by visiting your polling place and casting your vote for Patti Boye-Williams and Edward Giannaros for seats on Farmington’s Town Council. Patti and Edward have worked diligently to be part of many great accomplishments in the past few years.
Patti and Edward were instrumental in delivering bipartisan, fiscally responsible budgets that their fellow townspeople embraced at the polls. Both also played vital roles in developing new approaches to town business, from which residents are already seeing results.
Patti was a vocal proponent of addressing aging infrastructure and improving town services; the need of our first responders for new equipment has already been addressed. She prioritized addressing our town’s longstanding traffic issues, in conjunction with bicycle safety and enhancement of our pedestrian -friendly roadways. Patti also got behind the new town newsletters to ensure every process is accessible transparent to all in our community.

Edward was a driving force behind the shift toward a competitive bidding process that will save money for years to come. He also worked to improve transparency in the budget process and helped move the town to a health insurance plan that maintains benefits while saving money. Edward presents leadership and the financial planning skills needed as we go forward in maintaining a fiscally sound tax structure for Farmington.
The Democrat-led Town Council has delivered these valuable results over the past few years and Patti and Edward’s skills have been a large part of it. In order to continue this exceptional progress, I endorse our returning them for another term to the Farmington Town Council in the 2nd District.
