LETTER: Chris Forster is Smart Choice for Farmington

Opinions expressed are those of the letter writer and do not necessarily reflect the views of Patch Media. Opposing viewpoints are welcomed.

It's rare to have a freshman state representative who can impact the policy debate on Day One. But that's exactly what we'll have if Farmington voters elect Chris Forster to Connecticut's General Assembly on November 8th.

As a Certified Public Finance Officer and a Certified Government Financial Manager, Chris Forster will be prepared to root out waste and abuse in a state budget that has gotten completely out of control. He is also ready to streamline our state's universities system -- an enormous part of the budget -- because he has served as its Controller.

Chris Forster also knows Farmington - literally from the ground up. He has served honorably on the Farmington Conservation & Inland Wetlands Commission and on the Zoning Board of Appeals.

We can fix the financial mess career politicians have made in Hartford, but only if we change course and elect competent people like Chris Forster. That's why I enthusiastically support Chris Forster for state representative in Farmington.
