LETTER: An Endorsement of Gary Palumbo for Town Council
Letters are strictly the opinion of the author, and do not necessarily reflect the views of Farmington Patch.

I am pleased to endorse Gary Palumbo for the Farmington Town Council, Second District. Gary and his family live in the Highlands and Gary owns Farmington Jewelers. Living and working in Farmington gives Gary a unique perspective on our wonderful town, and he hopes to bring his skills and experience to the Town Council for the benefit of his friends, neighbors and fellow businesspeople.
Gary has always been active with community service and his children in their sporting endeavors. Most recently Gary has served the town, with distinction, on the Zoning Board of Appeals. We are fortunate that with two college students, Gary has more time to offer to his fellow citizens by serving on the Town Council. Anyone who knows Gary understands that his intelligence, wit, caring and cooperative nature make him the type of person Farmington needs to continue to maintain the standard of public service we have come to expect from our elected officials. Operating his own business in tough economic times has taught Gary that with hard work and discipline, fiscal problems can be solved. You can be sure that Gary will keep our taxes low while finding ways to maintain town services at levels we have come to expect.
Gary’s ethic of giving back to his community is also strong in his wife, Amy, and she can be found volunteering with the Farmington Community Chest and the Unionville Village Improvement Association. Gary’s son, Anthony, finds the time to volunteer with the Tunxis Hose Fire Company as an EMT while he attends college full time.
