LETTER: Farmington's Mike Demicco Endorses Connolly, Wlodkowski

With Election Day coming on November 5, I encourage everyone who cares about our Farmington community to head for the polls and support Brian F.X. Connolly and Dave Wlodkowski for seats on the Farmington Town Council in the First District.

Brian and Dave are longtime Farmington residents with a shared enthusiasm for contributing to the town’s success. I got to know both through their active involvement in their kids' activities in the Farmington Schools and Farmington Recreation Department, which even then demonstrated their commitment to successful community programs. Brian is the Chairperson and has been an active member for more than a decade of the Farmington Economic Development Commission, serves on the Farmington Village Center Committee, and is president-elect of the Rotary Club of Farmington. Dave’s experience as an architect led to his former role as a member of the Architectural Licensing Board of Connecticut, and after serving as president of the Exchange Club of Farmington, he now sits on the organization’s board of directors.

Their experience will be a strong asset for the Town Council. Much of Brian’s 35 years in broadcast and corporate media was spent as co-owner of a local production company, which has given him valuable insight into how to best promote business development in a community, keeping taxes low while prioritizing the needs of town residents. Dave has a wealth of project and budget management knowledge on large-scale jobs, and can help drive smart, sensible and fiscally responsible development in our community.

Strong quality of life is one of Farmington’s greatest resources, and making certain our town remains a great place to live is a goal Brian and Dave have long shared. We’re fortunate to have their contributions to our community, and I am excited to declare my support for them as candidates for Farmington Town Council.

Please join me at the polls November 5 and vote Row A to support Brian, Dave and their fellow Farmington Democrats.
