LETTER: Giannaros and Boye-Williams Will Continue to Deliver
Opinions expressed are those of the letter writer and do not necessarily reflect the views of Patch Media. Opposing viewpoints are welcomed.

The Farmington Town Council is leading the town toward a smart, sensible future for its residents, and Patricia Boye-Williams and Edward Giannaros have been leaders in the movement to make the Town Council’s work open to the community. I recommend both of them for re-election on November 5, for another term in which they can deliver great results for our town
Elected to Town Council in 2017, Patti and Edward championed two fiscally responsible, bipartisan budgets that town residents quickly passed. Each played a vital role in incremental reforms that already are benefiting the town.
Edward Giannaros, a Financial Analyst, worked very hard to move the town to a more efficient competitive bidding process that results in long term cost savings. He also championed, with his democratic colleagues, making the budget process more transparent for our tax payers. He strongly supported efforts to switch the town to a health insurance plan that will maintain benefits while saving money.

Patti provided leadership in the budget process, working to address aging infrastructure, improve town services and support first responders with much-needed new equipment. She spearheaded “green” efforts initiatives that benefit everyone, worked to improve longstanding issues with traffic, created more pedestrian-friendly roads and promoted bicycle safety, while driving efforts to involve and inform the community with new town newsletters (including a new Green Efforts newsletter) that make the process transparent and accessible for anyone who chooses to participate.
Patti and Edward have played substantial roles in the strong results we have seen from the Democrat-led Town Council in the last two years, and with much still to be done, they are the right people to continue that work. I am pleased to endorse them as candidates for re-election in Farmington’s 2nd District.

I encourage my fellow Farmington residents to go to the polls November 5 and vote Row A and to support Patti Boye-Williams and Edward Giannaros for reelection to Farmington’s Town Council.
