Farmington is a great place to call home, and it stays that way when people are active in addressing the community’s needs. Matt Hutvagner has shown a strong commitment to the town with active participation in current community initiatives, demonstrating a genuine interest in maintaining our high quality of life. These qualities make me pleased to endorse him for a collaborative place on the Farmington Board of Education.

Matt has been a fixture at public engagements, actively participating in meetings of the Town Council, Board of Education and various committees on his own volition as a resident. He always has an intelligent and thoughtful question at every event I have attended with him. He has been a reliable voice in those functions as a champion of Farmington students, calling for schools to have needed resources while staying within sensible budget limits.

Further, Matt has spent more than a decade in the fast-paced environment of the Walt Disney Company, assigned to its ESPN sports broadcast network. His work in the company’s accounting group has made him insightful about strategic use of available funds, maintaining budgets and planning for the future. All of those professional skills will be valuable assets in making the most of limited resources while delivering on the promise of a first-rate education for all of Farmington’s students. With his enthusiasm for local issues and proven engagement in the process, Matt Hutvagner will be a strong addition to the Board of Education.
