LETTER: Re-elect Melanie Meehan to the Farmington Board of Education

We are writing to publicly support Melanie Meehan for election to the Board of Education. We have known Melanie through both professional and personal relationships for the past thirteen years, and she is very qualified for this position.

Melanie has a degree in Educational Leadership, and more importantly she has eight years of experience on the Board of Education for our town. She has served as Curriculum Chairperson, Communications Chairperson, and she has participated on several hiring committees. Melanie has crafted the current mission statement and five year goals which are in place in the Farmington School system. She has demonstrated a passion for developing citizens as lifelong learners and helping them achieve their goals.

Melanie Meehan is committed to Farmington; she has lived here since 1977 and has attended Farmington schools. She is married to Garth, a lifelong Farmington resident, and they have four daughters with varied academic interests and school involvement. She is a dedicated parent with a balanced perspective of our district’s strengths and growth opportunities.

Melanie has an excellent record as a member of the Board of Education and as a leader and volunteer in our community. We know her personally as a loyal, kind and trustworthy friend. She is the right choice for the Board of Education; she is skilled at making change happen when change is needed. We encourage you to vote for Melanie in the upcoming election.
