LETTER: In Support of Christine Arnold for Farmington BOE
Letters are strictly the opinion of the author, and do not necessarily reflect the views of Farmington Patch.

I highly endorse Christine Arnold for a position on Farmington’s Board of Education and urge you to vote for her. Christine is an intelligent, passionate and talented mom and businesswoman.
Christine has worked for me for nearly 15 years and serves as Operations Director for my companies here in Farmington. She is strategic and organized and has knowledge of finance, budgeting, IT, HR and capital planning. I believe that her knowledge and talents will contribute to intelligent decision making on the Board of Education. She is an excellent, proactive collaborator.
Farmington has an amazing school system. Many people move to town so that their children can be the beneficiaries of a world class system. While our system is great, the economy around us often limits funding sources. The state continues to cut back on local funding. We need Board of Education members who can prioritize, plan and evaluate. Christine is unusually capable of thinking through complex problems.

Having served on the Farmington Town Council and as the most recent past Chairman of the Council, I’ll say that the Council and the Board of Education work best together when the two entities collaborate on initiatives and strategies. The schools represent the largest part of the town budget. It’s essential that we elect the most capable people to chart our course for the future.
Please vote for Christine on November 3. I’m a daily witness to her incredible work ethic and focus. I know that she’ll do a good job for the town.
