LETTER: Support From Within For Mike Demicco

Opinions expressed are those of the letter writer and do not necessarily reflect the views of Patch Media. Opposing viewpoints are welcomed.

As we are at the height of the campaign season, I am sure that you are flooded with letters recommending one
candidate or another. I would like to add one endorsement from a unique perspective - Mike Demicco’s wife. Farmington residents know him as their state representative, knocking on their doors, stopping to talk at the grocery store, listening to their issues, representing their interests in Hartford. What they don’t see - but I do - is the man who uses his time at home to answer every call, working to help everyone who contacts him to find a solution to their problems. I see the man of endless integrity and dedication who weighs every vote to determine what is best for Farmington, who quietly and with intelligence and perseverance stands up for what is right.

In recent legislative sessions, Mike has successfully fought for money for the town; for increased overall
state grant dollars; for increased education funding, including for school security and technology; for the fire training building; for upgraded sidewalks; for the high school turf field; for the playground at West
Woods. The list is endless. Farmington residents also benefit from his support for statewide issues, such as women’s health care, restored funding for the medicare savings program, and phasing out the income tax on social security and pension benefits.

The residents of the town of Farmington deserve the best, and that is Mike Demicco!
