"Freud's Last Session" running thru 2/23 at Theaterworks Hartford; a fictional meeting between Sigmund Freud and C. S. Lewis is a riveting 90 minutes of theater! I wasn't sure that listening to two intellectuals talk abipout religion and other esoteric subjects would be all that interesting, but it was so much more than that, and truly entertaining...funny, and a little disturbing. Theateworks has one of the most reasonable and flexible subscriptions around; free parking for subscribers, and you can even have input on the new season! I love having per-show dinner across the street at Bin 228 (www.theaterworkshartford.org)
on a community theater level, come out to Collinsville to see the sweet and funny " Brighton Beach Memoirs" (www.fvatage.org); out to Manchester for the British sex comedy "Noises Off" (www.cheneyhall.org); or way out to Broadbrook for "Cabaret" (www.operahouseplayers.org.
looking a little ahead, "Peter and the Starcatcher" comes to the Bushnell next Tuesday; it's a grown-up prequel to the story of Peter Pan, and so much fun!
