Longtime Community Bank Opens Branch In Farmington

Founded in 1853, the bank has opened its third location, and first outside of Canton.

FARMINGTON, CT — A community bank with an established presence in Canton for more than 160 years has expanded in the Farmington Valley with the opening of a new branch in Farmington.

Collinsville Bank, founded in 1853 and consisting of two locations in Canton, opened its Farmington branch Wednesday in Post Office Square at 186 South Main St. Farmington resident Dena Martinelli is serving as branch manager of the new site.

The building was designed by Quisenberry Arcari & Malik of Farmington and built by general contractor D’Amato Construction Co. from Bristol, according to president/CEO Gary Roman.

"We will have a grand opening and ribbon cutting ceremony on St. Patrick’s Day, March 17 to fully introduce ourselves to our neighbors in our new community!" Roman wrote on Facebook.
