Update: Main Street In Farmington Reopened After Crash

Police report a vehicle had hit a utility pole.

FARMINGTON, CT — It was a manic Monday for Farmington motorists as Route 10 was closed Monday afternoon after a vehicle slammed a utility pole.

But the road has been reopened, according to the Farmington Police Department just prior to 4 p.m. Monday.

According to the Farmington Police Department's Twitter feed, Main Street (Route 10) was closed near Highland Park Market.

Police said a motor vehicle accident involving a utility pole caused the closure.

According to police, motorists had to use Meadow Road and Scott Swamp Road to detour around the situation.

Police posted first notification of the accident at about 2:30 p.m.
