Major Delays Expected Thursday on Route 4 in Farmington

A road project on Farmington Avenue is expected to cause backups on the already-busy roadway.

FARMINGTON, CT - Farmington's busiest roadway will be more congested than usual Thursday, due to a road project, according to a statement from police.

Route 4, also known as Farmington Avenue, will be cut down to one lane in each direction at the intersection of Garden Street. Police are advising drivers to avoid Garden Street.

Heavy delays are expected.
