Mall's 'Mall-O-Ween' Celebration To Delight Young Revelers

The Westfarms Mall, located in Farmington and West Hartford, is hosting a special trick-or-treat celebration indoors Sunday morning.

WEST HARTFORD/FARMINGTON, CT — Rain may be in the forecast Sunday, but it doesn't matter for attendants of Sunday morning's "Mall-O-Ween" event at the Westfarms Mall.

Located in West Hartford and Farmington, the prominent shopping destination's fourth annual Halloween celebration is perfect when Mother Nature is in a fickle mood. It's indoors.

"Mall-O-Ween" will feature children dressed in costumes walking the "Boo-levard" at Westfarms for an indoor trick-or-treating journey.

Open to the public and free of charge, members of the community will receive bags to collect candy along the Boo-levard route from Westfarms and its partners.

The event will take place Sunday from 10 a.m. to noon at the mall, whose official address is 500 Westfarms Mall, Farmington, but is located in both towns.

Westfarms has partnered with several groups to make "Mall-O=Ween" happen, including Comcast Xfinity, Goodwin Magnet Schools, Hartford HealthCare, Go Health, CHET, Audacy Radio, Knockout Fitness, The Ballet Theatre Company, LUSH, LEGO, the local fire and police departments and more.

According to mall officials, "Mall-O-"is part of Westfarms' larger "Community First" initiative to thank the local community for its support of the mall and its retailers.
