Man Charged With Farmington Robberies, Pursuit Into New Britain
Police say he robbed a sandwich shop Monday morning, then attempted to pull a heist at a nearby Dunkin Donuts.

FARMINGTON, CT — A New Britain man was arrested Monday morning after a pair of robbery attempts at businesses on Farmington Avenue.
Kevin Colon, 27, of 130 Queen St., New Britain, was taken into custody following a three-town pursuit, Lt. Colin Ryan said.
At 9:12 a.m., the Subway restaurant at 1426 Farmington Avenue was robbed, during which a weapon was not shown, but was implied. Five minutes later, there was an attempted robbery at Dunkin Donuts at 1015 Farmington Avenue by the same suspect, Ryan said.

Farmington police located a green Honda leaving the Dunkin Donuts parking lot and attempted to stop it on Farmington Avenue. The suspect fled, and officers pursued him through Farmington and Plainville into New Britain, where the suspect crashed on Slater Road. The suspect was taken into custody without further incident, Ryan said.
A second vehicle was struck during the crash in New Britain, and one person was treated on scene for minor injuries, Ryan said.

Colon was charged with third-degree robbery, sixth-degree larceny, reckless endangerment, reckless driving and engaging officers in pursuit in connection with the Subway robbery. In the Dunkin Donuts case, he was charged with criminal attempt to commit second-degree robbery and criminal attempt to commit sixth-degree larceny.
Bond was set at $250,000.
