Middlewoods of Farmington Kicks Off “Sandwiched” Caregiver Education Series for 2014!

Balancing the responsibilities of work, finances, family life, and caring for an aging loved one can leave you feeling “Sandwiched” and in need of support. Caregivers are invited to Middlewoods of Farmington on Monday, January 27th from 6:00 – 7:00 pm for the brand new “Sandwiched” education series.

The featured program for the 27th is entitled, “The Legal and Practical Aspects of Aging,” and will feature a presentation by Dr. Patrick Coll, UCONN Geriatric Physician, and Attorney Dolph Highmark of West Hartford. The session will provide a closer look into the legal and practical aspects of aging and discussion topics that will be covered in the presentation will include: Do Not Resuscitate (DNR), Advanced Directives, and Living Wills (from a medical as well as legal viewpoint). In the event of inclement weather, a snow date for this program is scheduled for Thursday, January 30th. All programs will be held at Middlewoods of Farmington Assisted Living Community at 509 Middle Road in Farmington. A light supper will be served.
