Knowing the community is one of the key skill sets for any member of a governing board. With that benchmark in mind, my endorsement of Peter Mastrobattista for a position on the Town Council is no surprise. Peter and his family have lived in Farmington for three generations. His wife Laura also grew up in town. With that background, there is no question that Peter knows and loves our town. One of his core values is the belief in public service to make our community a better place to live, work and nurture our families. Peter has provided that public service by serving on the Town Plan and Zoning Commission and as a volunteer fireman for over two decades. I have been a friend of Peter's for almost ten years. He is a thoughtful, considerate, caring individual who will listen to all sides of a problem before making a decision. The fact that he is a careful listener to citizens is a skill set missing in many of our political leaders. In closing, Peter is a great candidate for Farmington's Town Council. He receives my strongest endorsement and I hope you will provide him the opportunity to sit on our Town Council by voting for him on Election Day.
