NAACP Condemns Noose Incident at Farmington Construction Site

The noose was found last week at a UConn Health Center construction site.

State and Hartford branches of the NAACP have spoken out after a noose was found at a construction site in Farmington Friday.

“We will not tolerate bigotry or racism at Turner Construction sites or anywhere else in the State of Connecticut,” State NAACP President Scot X. Esdaile said, according to Fox CT.

Its at least the second time a noose was found at a company construction site, Esdaile said.

The noose was found Friday at the UConn Health Center and UConn Police are investigating it as a possible crime.

The company issued a statement saying that anyone found responsible for placing the noose would not be allowed back.

A UConn spokesman also condemned the incident.
