Farmington's National Merit Scholarship Semifinalists Named
The quartet of high school seniors is still in the running for prestigious scholarships at the end of the school year.
FARMINGTON, CT — Officials of the National Merit Scholarship Corporation Sept. 12 announced the names of more than 16,000 semifinalists in the 69th annual National Merit Scholarship Program.
Among the names are four from Farmington, who are still eligible for the prestigious scholarships.
All are seniors at Farmington High School and they are: Sneha M. Balur, Aaron S. Ding, Doorva Garg and Reagan Olivastro.

The high school seniors have an opportunity to continue in the competition for some 7,140 National Merit Scholarships worth nearly $28 million that will be offered next spring.
To be considered for a Merit Scholarship award, semifinalists must fulfill several requirements to advance to the finalist level of the competition.
