New Britain Women Arrested After Shoplifting Attempt in Farmington
The cousins were attempting to shoplift from JC Penney at the Westfarms Mall and had a 3-year-old child with them at the time.

On Thursday, two New Britain women were arrested after they were caught shoplifting at JC Penney.
Mia Camilleri, 21, and Ashley Marie Oliveras, 24, had a 3-year-old child with them at the time. When they were stopped outside JC Penney by loss prevention personnel, they were less than cooperative, placing the 3-year old at risk, said Farmington Police Lt. Colin Ryan.
Ryan said the child was also wearing a stolen back pack when the women were stopped, meaning they used the child in the commission of the crime.
