The Farmington Town Council has recently approved and released a 45-page 'Farmington Strategic Plan' detailing its priorities for 2024-26.

FARMINGTON, CT — The town recently unveiled a new 45-page documentthat tells residents what it wants to do in the next couple of years.
Approved by the Farmington Town Council, the "Town of Farmington Strategic Plan" is not a binding document for 2024-26.

"This is a living document, intended to be modified amended, and updated to reflect the needs of our community," wrote Capidoferro.
The plan, he said, is updated and/or redone every two years and it provides the public with the goals of the local municipal team and town council.
Specific goals of the plan, according to Capodiferro, include:
• Completing the new Farmington High School building project on time and on budget.
• Renovate the oldest part of the old Farmington High School, dubbed the "1928 portion" into a new town hall.
• Encouraging wider access to town recreational programs and providing a plethora of different ones.
"I hope you will find this document useful, and it will give you some insight into the progress we plan to make in the upcoming years," wrote Capodiferro.
"Our goal is to build upon the hard work of those who came before us and help the Town of Farmington remain the place each of us chooses to call home."
