New General Manager Named At Westfarms In Farmington/West Hartford

FARMINGTON/WEST HARTFORD, CT — One of the state's most successful shopping destinations now has a new leader at the helm.

Simon Property Group has appointed Carolyn Edwards as general manager of the Westfarms Mall in Farmington/West Hartford, the company announced Monday.

Edwards will oversee daily operations at the shopping center, including retailer relations, marketing, leasing, business development, security, and overall guest experience.

She brings more than 30 years of experience in retail operations, management, and marketing.

Most recently, Edwards served as area general manager for two Simon Premium Outlets locations in Lee, Mass., and Kittery, Maine.

Her previous roles also include positions with Prime Retail, Pennsylvania Real Estate Investment Trust, and the American Heart Association. She began her career in Connecticut at WFSB-TV.

Simon said Edwards’ appointment reflects a focus on operational leadership and continued investment in the mall’s retail and customer experience.

Edwards, who lives in Massachusetts, is a graduate of Westfield State University.
