Opening Day Looming for Farmington High School Teams
Practice sessions have begun for spring sports at the high school level throughout Connecticut.
FARMINGTON, CT - Spring is officially upon us, and with that comes the opening of the 2016 scholastic spring sports season.
Practices have opened for most high school sports throughout the state, with many teams playing scrimmage games this coming week.
The official spring schedule opens in early April.
Here is the scheduled opening day for varsity teams at Farmington High School:
- boys golf - Mon., Apr. 4, vs. Conard, 3 p.m.
- baseball - Mon. Apr. 4, vs. Conard, 3:45 p.m.
- softball - Mon., Apr. 4, at Conard, 3:45 p.m.
- boys volleyball - Mon., Apr. 4, at Conard, 5 p.m.
- girls lacrosse - Mon., Apr. 4, at Cheshire, 6 p.m.
- track & field - Tues., Apr. 5, at Windsor, 3:45 p.m.
- boys tennis - Wed., Apr. 6, vs. Berlin, 3:45 p.m.
- boys lacrosse - Wed., Apr. 6, at North Haven, 4 p.m.
- girls tennis - Fri., Apr. 8, at Glastonbury, 3:45 p.m.
- crew - Sat., Apr. 9, at Worcester Regatta, time TBA
- girls golf - Wed., Apr. 13, at Newington, 3 p.m.
