Otis Elevator Employee Killed in Paris Attacks

The Farmington-based company said an employee and his wife were killed Friday night in the terrorist attacks in France.

An employee of Farmington-based Otis Elevator Company was among more than 125 people killed in the terrorist attacks on Paris late last week, according to the Hartford Courant.

“Our thoughts are with all those affected by the Paris tragedy,” Otis said in a statement released Monday morning and published by the Courant. “Sadly, we have confirmed that an Otis employee and his wife were among those who lost their lives in these brutal attacks. We extend our deepest sympathy to their family, friends and colleagues. We will continue to monitor the situation and evaluate its impact on our employees as additional information becomes available.”

The paper said the employee is not from Connecticut.
