Pediatrician Accused of Sexual Misconduct Dies in Farmington Home

The retired pediatrician was accused of misconduct that is alleged to have occurred in the 70's and 80's.

Robert Rackliffe, 92, died in his Farmington home, according to the Hartford Courant.

There were six pending lawsuits filed by former patients that alleged digital anal penetration and fondling of boy’s genitals. The alleged incidents occurred between 1972 and 1986. Three of the plaintiffs are male and three are female.

Rackliffe’s attorney William Sweeney said Rackliffe denied any wrongdoing and that anything performed was a routine medical examination. Rackliffe was questioned for two of the pending lawsuits already.

The case will now be against his estate.
