Connecticut Enterprise Recruits New Vice President/General Manager to Lead Franchise Expansion in Connecticut and Nationwide April 9, 2013 – Christian J. Renstrom, former VP of Corporate Relations and Special Events for Special Olympics Connecticut, has joined SEASONS Magazines as the Avon-based company’s new Vice President/General Manager, a new position with the growing organization, it was announced today. “We’re delighted to welcome Chris to our company,” said publisher James Tully, who founded the SEASONS Magazines company seven years ago. “He will be an enormous asset to the strong base we’ve built with our Farmington Valley, West Hartford and Glastonbury magazines, with our newest addition in Connecticut’s Northwest Hills area, and with our nationwide franchise initiative, whose first venture is a magazine in Cedar Park-Leander, Texas.” With his command of print publishing, tech initiatives, and lifestyle marketing, including increasingly vital relationship marketing, Renstrom is ideally suited to represent every aspect of the value proposition that SEASONS Magazines offers. “I am extremely pleased with this new challenge and look forward to helping SEASONS build and strengthen its presence in Connecticut and nationwide,” Renstrom says. “I’m proud to be part of this very high quality, energetic organization.” Prior to his highly successful work with Special Olympics Connecticut, Renstrom was a vice president with The Worx Group, responsible for new business development. His previous career experience in publishing includes serving as Vice President and General Manager of Marketing Resource Consultants, Inc., publishers of Hartford Magazine, Home Living Connecticut Magazine, Connecticut Business Magazine, Mohegan Sun's Legends Magazine, and Hoffman Auto Groups Decades Magazine. He spent his early career in the wireless communications industry, in senior management sales and marketing roles with Cingular Wireless and Verizon Wireless, as an integral part of their brand launches and sales/retention efforts in Connecticut. Renstrom currently serves as a Board Member for the Eastern Connecticut State University Foundation and the Connecticut Boxing Hall of Fame. He also spent seven years on the Special Olympics Connecticut Board of Directors where was a Board Officer. He earned his B.S. in Communications from Eastern Connecticut State University and lives in West Hartford with his two daughters.
