Police Identify Victims of Double Fatal Crash in Farmington

Two people were killed and three injured in a head-on collision Thursday night.

FARMINGTON, CT — Police have released the names of two people killed and three injured in a head-on collision late Thursday night on Route 6.

The crash took place around 11:45 p.m. when a westbound 2010 Honda Accord crossed a double yellow line and collided head-on with a 2014 Mazda 3 sedan which was traveling eastbound.

Both rear seat passengers in the Mazda were killed as a result of the crash: Rejean St. Pierre, 66, and Benoit Boislard, 66, both of Quebec, Canada. The front seat passenger, Lisette Prince, 60, of Quebec, is listed in critical condition at Hartford Hospital, while the driver of the Mazda, Angelique Michaud, 46, of Quebec, was treated at Hartford Hospital and released.

The driver of the Honda, Edward Brozynski, 54, of Newington, is listed in stable condition at St. Francis Hospital and Medical Center.

Lt. Patrick Buckley said the investigation into the crash is active and ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to contact Detective Jason Hughes at 860-675-2400.
