Police: Long List of Complaints Against Farmington Polo Grounds, Owner Arrested

The owner of Farmington Polo Grounds was charged with animal cruelty after one of his horses escaped and was hit by a vehicle.

The horse had to be put down due to its injuries, according to police.

Claude Brouillard, 50, was charged with cruelty to animals.

Police investigated the property after the horse was hit, according to NBC Connecticut. They found that there wasn’t enough hay for the horses to eat.

There have been a long line of incidents associated with horses on the property, according to police. There have been seven complaints since 2011 related to the health and wellness of the horses.
