Porter's Soccer Holds Play for P.I.N.K. Fundraiser

Athletics

On Sunday, October 15, Porter's varsity and JV soccer teams held a scrimmage against the Avon Old Farms School varsity and JV soccer teams to raise money for breast cancer awareness through Play for P.I.N.K. (Prevention, Immediate diagnosis, New technology, Knowledge), an organization that "supports volunteers as they raise funds for research through sporting and lifestyle events." Through their efforts, the teams raised $858 for Play for P.I.N.K., 100 percent of which goes to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation

"We are proud of our teams for coming together and organizing this event to raise money for breast cancer awareness," share Porter's varsity team captains Maddie D. '18 and Naya L. '18. "It was a really fun afternoon for everybody, both the teams and the fans, and it was amazing to see the support from both schools for such a great cause."
