On Saturday, February 24, Porter’s varsity swimming and diving team competed in the 10th annual Founders League Championship, held at The Hotchkiss School in Lakeville, Connecticut, and ended the season with a fourth place finish.
The meet started with a victory by Porter’s 200 Medley Relay team of Avery M. '19, Marissa C. '20, Moira L. '19, and Maddie B.'21. The team's time of 1:52.32 broke a school record set in 2009. The meet also saw strong individual performances. Maddie B. finished second in the 200 Freestyle and 500 Freestyle, and Marissa C. was named Founders League Champion in the 500 Freestyle and the 100 Breaststroke. Marissa's time of 1:05:98 in the 100 Breaststroke broke both Founders League and Porter’s records for that event.
