FARMINGTON/AVON, CT — An Avon environmental group and a Farmington farm are teaming up for an initiative this month to recycle those Halloween pumpkins now rotting after the holiday.

The farm has set up a trailer for area residents to dump their pumpkins, which are then hauled away for use as a biofuel.
Pumpkin dumping can be done during the farm shop's regular hours, which are Tuesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
