Recapping the Fall 2016 State Championship Results
With the exception of football, high school fall sports have concluded for the season; here's a look at the champions and runners-up.

An exciting fall season in Connecticut high school sports has come to an end - with the exception of football - and a number of teams enjoyed considerable success on the playing surfaces.
A total of 26 schools won class championships, with eight capturing a pair of titles and three adding State Open victories (Staples, Ridgefield and Greenwich). For some programs, it was their first-ever state crown, while others continued longstanding strings of achievement.
Here are the 2016 fall class champions, their number of titles and this year's runners-up.
