Regional Waste Collection Event Is Saturday In Farmington
Farmington, Canton, Avon, Simsbury, Granby, and Suffield residents can dump household hazardous waste/electronics and shred documents.
FARMINGTON, CT — Farmington is hosting a regional household hazardous waste collection event on Saturday, April 20, for residents and those from five neighboring towns.
The first collection event in 2024 will be at Farmington High School from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, with residents from Avon, Canton, Granby, Suffield, and Simsbury also included.
In addition to household hazardous waste, the collections also include old electronics and document shredding services.

The event is free for residents of Avon, Canton, Farmington, Granby, Suffield and Simsbury.
Items to be disposed of include electronics; used motor oil; personal document shredding (please limit yourself to 2 boxes); as well as household chemicals.

Two other events are planned in Simsbury in June and October.
