The Republican Team has Your Best Interest in Mind

From the Farmington High School Referendum to tomorrow's election, keep in mind who will keep your tax bill low

Let us not forget what has occurred here in town over the past year. The $135 million plus interest demolition/rebuild of the Farmington High School, including sections that we have not finished paying for as pointed out by Justin Bernier, was defeated by approximately a 2:1 vote. Your taxes would have greatly increased over the next twenty years to pay the principle and INTEREST had it not been defeated. It was Responsible FHS who had the taxpayers in mind to challenge and stop this project until a more reasonable solution is determined. The two Democrats not running for Town Council re-election voted in favor of spending this preposterous amount of money which would have helped to lower our bond rating and push our debt load over 10%. The average taxpayer in town would have seen hundreds of dollars added to their tax bill over twenty years, let alone dollar amounts for any other project that would have come along needing immediate attention.

Jon Landry, Justin Bernier, Jeff Apuzzo and Paul Cianci won the Republican primary because of their determination to effectively stand up to a project that would have a drastic effect on our town budget for years to come. They are responsible Farmington citizens who need to be re-elected or elected to Town Council to keep our best interests in mind. They will hit the ground running to find the best solution for what needs to be done in town while keeping expenses and your taxes in mind. The opposition can run on a platform that states that they will keep taxes low, but it is the Republican Town Council candidates who have already shown that they will stand up for YOU and your checkbook while doing what is right for the town. We have an enviable mill rate thanks to Republican leadership over the years. Let's keep it that way by electing the above four candidates.
