Rookie Farmington Cop Tops In Graduating Class

The new law enforcer is currently in field training with the Farmington Police Department.

FARMINGTON, CT — One of the Farmington Police Department's newest officers is already among its more accomplished law enforcers.

New hire Kyle Roque graduated from the Waterbury Police Academy last week and has now begun field training in his new assignment.

But while he learns the ways of the FPD, he can take solace in winning his graduating class' highest honor.

Roque was the recipient of the Mendelssohn Award during the March 21 ceremony.

According to the FPD, the "award is given to the recruit chosen by is peers and academy staff as 'the best overall recruit.'"

Needless to say, Farmington officials are quite excited for their new rookie cop.

"We are very proud of officer Roque’s accomplishment," wrote the FPD via social media.
