Route 4 Traffic Delays Expected In Farmington
Local officials said construction work will result in stoppages about two or three times a day.

FARMINGTON, CT — Local motorists can expect delays om Route 4 through mid-September, with construction activity expected to stop traffic and close lanes.
According to the Town of Farmington, construction activity in the vicinity of the intersection of Route 4 and Farmglen Boulevard will result in intermittent stoppages of traffic and southbound lane closures.
"Residents should be aware that there will be some construction activities on Route 4 in the vicinity of the intersection with Farmglen Boulevard likely continuing intermittently through the middle to end of September," wrote the town in an announcement Aug. 22.

The activities will result in stoppages of traffic on Route 4 at this intersection for two to three minutes, two to three times per day between the hours of 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. (outside nearby school arrival and departure times), according to the town.
There will be a southbound lane closure on Route 4 at this intersection, local officials said.
