Sal DiMauro named Farmington UNICO 2017 Citizen of the Year

Citizen of the Year Award presented at Farmington UNICO's Italian Sunday Dinner

Rep. Mike Demicco presented Sal DiMauro with an Official Citation from the State of CT at Farmington UNICO's Italian Sunday Dinner on October 29th at Holy Family Retreat Center. The Citation was made in recognition of Sal’s dedication to the work of Farmington UNICO for 48 years. The greater Farmington community has benefitted from his generosity and good works.
Sal was chosen to be Farmington UNICO’s Citizen of the Year for 2017. The annual fundraising Sunday Dinner has been named The Sal DiMauro Italian Sunday Dinner in his honor. Sal is a charter member of the Farmington Chapter of UNICO National, the largest Italian-American service organization in the United States. Founded in 1970, Farmington UNICO has awarded scholarships and grants annually. Sal has been a leader among the chapter members chairing golf tournaments and engineering meatball production for 48 years. He was named Citizen of the Year for his dedication and tireless service to the Farmington community. Sal truly exemplifies UNICO's motto, “Service Above Self.”
