Scene Art Bar Coming Soon to Village Artisan Galleries in Unionville, CT

A little wine, a little paint and a lots of fun!

In January, Scene Art Bar will open at the Village Artisan Galleries on Mill Street in Unionville.  But more importantly, we will be joining the community of towns that make up the Farmington River Valley.

Scene Art Bar is owned and operated by two local Connecticut women who fell in love with the social painting revolution that is sweeping the country and decided they had to bring it to their neighborhood to share with the local community.

The studio will be located in a building built circa 1860, and housed manufacturing companies for most of its 150-year history and we’re excited to be part of this next stage of life for this building.  We look forward to welcoming groups of families, friends and businesses that, as guests in our space, will come together to relax, share fun and make art.

The studios casual environment complete with exposed brick walls, high ceilings and large windows, will have a unique design and still hold aspects of a traditional art studio. It will be the perfect backdrop for parties for adults, corporate team building events, fundraisers and children’s birthday celebrations.  All skill levels - from novice to experienced artists - are welcome and will add to the social atmosphere.

A major goal of Scene Art Bar is to be a contributing member of the local community.  Through partnerships with charitable organizations and hosting fundraising events, in addition to public art classes, the studio will play a part in the good work being done in Unionville and the Farmington River Valley.

We chose 29 Mill Street to build our studio because we are confident the community will embrace the opportunity to mix traditional with unconventional, along with innovative art and medium that Scene will provide.  We hope that people will come to use the studio space for poetry readings, book clubs, art openings, cultural events and social gatherings.
