The Bridge Healing Arts Center (BHAC) in Farmington has catapulted Connecticut into the top class of wellness destinations for people seeking natural ways to improve their health, manage their stress, recover from illness and find balance. Since opening in 2017, BHAC has evolved into a multifaceted medical and mindfulness mecca, attracting the most sought-after healing arts practitioners and guest speakers. On June 27, 2019, the BHAC will host a special appearance by internationally recognized psychiatrist Dr. Anna Yusim who will discuss the “Science of Spirituality”.

“Dr. Yusim embodies the philosophy of holistic health care as an integrated approach that strives to balance the mind, body and spirit,” said Yisroel Rabinowitz, owner of Universal Enterprise LLC and the developer of BHAC. “When we created this community, we envisioned a sanctuary for both practitioners and patients offering a range of alternative treatment options under one roof to help people achieve optimal health and balance. That formula has proven to be highly successful.”

Rabinowitz notes the 26,000 square foot center situated on a beautiful serene 7-acre campus is fully occupied with 60 practitioners offering conventional treatments such as skincare, massage, nutrition and mental health therapy in conjunction with naturopathic physicians, energy healers, hypnotists, spiritual mediums and other talented professionals. It is also home to The Talcott Center for Child Development.

"There was no large complex in Connecticut where cross-specialty collaboration could take place,” explained Rabinowitz. “There was a real demand for these services in one location and increasing numbers of people of all ages are gravitating toward the center. We have built an amazing community here.”

In addition to providing treatment and services, the Bridge Healing Arts Center is dedicated to educating people on a full range of topics. The monthly event calendar covers everything from healthy cooking classes, to how to talk to your spouse about money, to fire gazing meditation and sound healing sessions. Dr. Yusim is a trailblazer among psychiatric professionals who recognize the important role spirituality plays in a person’s health. Through vigorous research over the past 15 years, Dr. Yusim made a startling discovery that flies in the face of most modern medical teaching, including her own. She found that her patients’ primary complaints, ranging from anxiety to depression to feeling empty, hopeless and lost, often coincided with spiritual neglect. She will share her own journey of spiritual awakening that led to personal healing, growth and transformation. Her revolutionary book, FULFILLED: How the Science of Spirituality Can Help You Live a Happier, More Meaningful Life, cites cutting edge scientific research to put forth a whole new paradigm for integrating science and spirituality within the context of modern medicine.
