SEEC Investigates Complaint in Farmington House Race

SEEC officials are investigating complaints filed against state house representative candidate Patty Stoddard.

State Elections Enforcement Commission officials are investigating complaints filed against state house representative candidate Patty Stoddard in the 21st district race.

Stoddard, who lost to incumbent Democrat Mike Demicco is accused in the complaints of mentioning gubernatorial candidate Tom Foley in campaign fliers, according to the Hartford Courant.

Stoddard took part in the Citizens Election Program to fund her campaign and the complaint alleges that Stoddard violated guidelines.

Stoddard said that the campaign spoke directly to Demicco’s actions, which happened to line-up with Gov. Dannel Malloy’s policies.
